Says 17,000 Govt teachers yet to receive B.ed training

Srinagar, May 19 (KNO): Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) G N Itoo Monday said that the methodology was the basic challenges for the department at primary and middle class levels. Speaking to reporters, DSEK as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “The basic challenges of our primary and middle level classes is methodology.” “It is that stage of learning wherein we have to retain the learner and have to develop a creativity and intrest among the students,” itoo said. He further said, “In future as per the NEP, we are supposed to teach the students in mother tongue to develop their overall personality and creativity.” DSEK said, “Today we interacted with those government school teachers who were undergoing through the B.ed program and in order to see the effectiveness of the program at ground, I believe this will definitely replicate in the classrooms and that is why we named it as Education In Action.” About the government teachers who were yet to receive B.ed course, Itoo said, “There are nearly 17,000 teachers who are yet to receive B.ed courses. However, the teachers are being trained gradually trained in different colleges as well as universities.” He also said, “Under the B.ed program, the teachers are being trained so that they can give students a best and quality education as well as the moral education.” “Under the New Education Policy (NEP) whatever has been instituted, be it the inclusive education or the gap between the practical and theory, the teachers are being trained in accordance to it,” DSEK said—(KNO)
